Tees Barrage 10k

On the 5th of May a hand full of Evenwood Road Runners took part in the 3rd Tees Barrage 10k under warm conditions Gemma Dart brought the club home for her first time and produce a excellent time of 56 minutes and 32 seconds for 290th position one place and also only second behind was Neil Douthwaite in 291st position for 56:33 . Both Dawn Ord and Nicola Finch finished the course in a time of 1:00:06 seconds in 351st and also 352nd position. Pier to Pier

It was an impressive club turnout for Evenwood Road Runners at the 10th pier to pier race covering 7.5 miles from South Shields to Roker on the 18th May. First to bring the club home was Gary Atkinson for 41:37 taking 13th position. Robert Mcaloon 44:26 in 44th pos, Kim Crowther  47:52 for 106 pos, making this his first race for the club was nick bellow who produced a excellent time of 50:47 for 172 position, no time to  rest its straight back into racing as Donna Douthwaite completed the course in 55:19 for 330th pos, another new member David Wilson enjoyed his first run for the club to finish in a time of 55:26 for 334 pos , Angler  wade had a excellent run and knocked three minutes of last years time to return in 59:17 for 487 pos. keeping it one second under the hour was Glynn frith to return in 510th position, making this her new distance and getting stronger  Sarah Douthwaite completed the course in 63 minutes and 11 seconds for 596th pos. Gemma Dart in 65:12 for 671 position, both Dawn Ord and Nicola Finch enjoyed there run to finish in 68:42 and 68:43 in 751st and 752nd pos, Sarah Dart was accompanied by Neil Douthwaite and had a Excellent run to Finish in 76:17 and 76:18 for 831st and 832nd pos, club stalwart Alan Dickinson vet 65 completed the course in a time of  83:36 seconds for 866th position out of a field of 876 runners.

Raby Castle 10k

On the 25th May, nine Evenwood Road Runners completed the Raby Castle 10k. First to return for the club was David Wilson in a time of 47:40 in a 133 position. Alan Morton 52:33 for 214 place. Sarah Douthwaite was first to return for the ladies section in a time of 53:06 for 224 position. Glyn firth returns in 54:04 for 247 pos. Gemma Dart 58:51 in 299 pos. Dawn Ord 61:02 for 325 pos. Nicola Finch 61:46 in 332 place. New member Emily Hooson completed her first race for the club in 67:34 for 368 positions. Alan Dickinson crossed the finish line in 72:18 for 386 positions.
