Evenwood`s newest
member John Tully ventured back to the marathon
scene at Edinburgh on the 12 of June and pulled of a
new p.b time 4:18:24.
Evenwood road runners divided
their green and white quarters to represent the club
in three events on the 19th June
For two senior members
and the junior section it was a local run at Newton
Aycliffe 3m 10k and fun run
First home for the junior section and producing a
excellent time was Sophie Hughes for 14th position
in a time of 14:06 ,next to return was Helen Pounder
for 16:42 in 50th position 19 places later was Harry
Welsh in 17:45 for 69th position Kate Pounder
finished in 18:09 for 79th position, Rebecca
Johnston completed the course in 20:09 for 106th
position, William Coatsworth once again produces an
excellent time for 116 position in 20:47 keeping his
sister at bay Amy for 20:58 in 119th position Emily
Coatsworth is accompanied around the course by her
dad Steven and they finish in 22:22 and 22:23 for
138th and 139th position..
Ron Pounder completed the 10k road race in 43:06
for 63 rd position John Tully has a steady jog on
his marathon legs and finished in 259th position for
58:15
Four members and family supporters travelled to
Blackpool for the third time to take part in the
half marathon ,running in extremely hot conditions
with lack of water Darren Fairclough was first club
member to cross the finish line in a time of 1:42
:53 for 247 position. Next to return was Donna
Douthwaite who passed her husband Neil at the eleven
mile marker in 1:55:07 for 540th position and 10
seconds later and dehydrated was Neil Douthwaite in
1:55:17 for 546 position. Glynn Frith sprinted
across the finish position in 2:18:53 and delighted
to finish for 1170 position out of a field of 1654
runners
In the Humberbridge half marathon four members
tackled the course in hot conditions and first home
was Gary Atkinson in 1:35:03 for 31st position
followed in by Sean Glasper in 1:49:04 for 120th
position Kimberly Crowther returned home in 2:05:02
for 298 position and Kenny Sams crossed the line in
2:26:04 for 635 position out of 887 runners |
