| Darlington 10K
Evenwood Road Runners
had eleven runners turn out at two local events. On
Sunday 6th august at Auckland Castle 10k road race
,Robert Mcaloon brought the club home in 37:46
taking 9th position and also first vet 45. Sean
Glasper still running strong finished in 41.50 in
40th pos. Neil Douthwaite completed the course in
43:29 for 61st pos followed in by Darren Fairclough
in 43:39 despite having a sleepless night he
finished in 65th pos. Donna Douthwaite finished in
164th pos in a time of 50:56 .Glyn Frith completed
the course in 58:14 for 244 pos(there was no fun
run). John Tully kept dawn Ord at bay and finished
in 1:00:30 for 263 rd pos dawn 264th pos in a time
of 1:00:44. Nicola finch finished in 1:05:20 for
284th place. kenneth Sams crossed the finishing line
in 1:05:20 for 285th position. Alan Dickinson took
296th position and finished in 1:10:00 out of 304
runners.
At the Darlington
10k road race on Sunday the 13th august . In perfect
running conditions Robert Mcaloon led the club home
in 37.17 for 37th pos. Sean Glasper returned home in
41.07 for 131st pos. Neil Douthwaite running
stronger finished in 159th position in a time of
41.49 followed in by fellow club mate Darren
Fairclough in 42.28 for 185th pos. Donna Douthwaite
was first lady home for the club in 47.33 and 368th
pos. John Tully produced a pb and finished in 56.18
taking 706th place. Dawn Ord and new member to the
club Helen Iceton battle it out to the finishing
line with Dawn crossing the line first to finish in
57.33 and Helen 57.35 for 738 and 739 positions.
Nicola Finch took 812th place in a time of 1.01.02.
Kenneth Sams in 1.01.02 for 813th pos. Alan
Dickinson pleased with his time completed the course
in 1.04.15 for 853rd pos out of a field of 938
runners.
In the 3k event
Sophie Hughes and Sarah Douthwaite battled it out to
the finishing line to cross the line together, no
times were recorded.
The junior and senior members enjoyed the fun run
and received a medal for there hard work, first home
was Demi Douthwaite, followed by Lauren Furness,
Glynn Frith and 3 year old Chloe Fairclough who ran
with mum Sarah Fairclough well done to all |
