Once again this the Bottom of front street north of the village green. In the picture, the Building just behind the Bus is now the West Auckland Workmen's Club where the world cup is on display in the lounge.
This picture looks over onto the north side of front street, it is this side that number 13 is on ( Mary Anne Cottons Old House). The trees in the foreground are part of the Seven Sisters. I don't know exactly when or who named them, but some say there were eight planted in the era of Henry Viii. They are situated in front of the wall that surround the Manor house Picture taken 1928

This is number 13 front street. it is one of the two houses in West Auckland that the famous Murderess Mary Anne cotton lived in. In this house she only killed one child by the name of Charles Edward Cotton. click For more on Mary Anne Cotton
